Or, take a look at the Journey Through Hallowed Ground Scenic Byway. It runs through both Maryland and Pennsylvania! The Maryland portion of the byway is “considered to be the ‘spine on the chapters of our American history.’”  Historic sites you’ll see along the route include the following:

  • National Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton
  • National Museum of Civil War Medicine
  • Rose Hill Manor
  • 1876 Point of Rocks Railroad Station
