Winter is starting to drag a bit, but that doesn’t mean it’s time to buckle down and stay indoors. Bundle up and get out to some of these awesome events this month in Maryland, and you might just forget about the cold weather for a while.
Bethesda Art Walk
Grab a hot chocolate and head to downtown Bethesda for the Bethesda Art Walk on Jan. 10. The Art Walk runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and features all types of artists from photographers and painters to sculptors and mixed media creators. Browse a variety of galleries featuring art from local, national and international artists, and you may even go home with something to hang on the wall.
International Guitar Night
Head over to Owings Mills on Jan. 18, for one of the best events of the new year — International Guitar Night with Brian Gore and world-renowned contemporary steel string guitarists Pino Forastiere, Jon Gomm and Quique Sinesi. All four guitarists result in a mixture of Italian, Argentinean, English and American guitar styles. Show up at the Gordon Center at 8 p.m., but buy your tickets ahead of time, because this show will probably sell out.
Second Saturdays in Cambridge
Downtown Cambridge is the place to be on the second Saturday of each month. Shops stay open until at least 8 p.m. and offer special deals just for the monthly event. Refreshments are available in most art galleries and “meet the artist” events will be hosted too. Shop until you drop, then grab a great meal at one of Cambridge’s five-star restaurants or unwind with a couple of drinks and some live music.
Beckley’s Camping Center
Whenever you’re in Maryland, don’t forget to stop by Beckley’s Camping Center. Whether you’re on an RV adventure and need some maintenance performed or you’re in the market for a new or used travel trailer, fifth wheel or motor home, we’ve got everything you need right here at Beckley’s — your Maryland RV dealer.
