Warren Island State Park – Lincolnville, ME
Located in the heart of the serene Penobscot Bay, Warren Island state park is one of the most private and remote state parks in Maine. A far cry from the bustle of Times Square, The Villages at Turning Stone is located in upstate New York, just a quick shuttle ride away from the Turning Stone Resort and Casino. Cherry Hill Park – College Park, Maryland
The closest campground to Washington, DC, Cherry Hill Park is a convenient spot to stay while you view to the nation’s capital. Tanglewood Park – Clemmons, NC
Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, NC actually used to be privately owned land, once belonging to Will and Katherine Reynolds. Now a public park, Tanglewood is a beautiful spot for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. And with two stocked fishing lakes, paddle boating and canoeing, tennis courts, golf, swimming and a picnic area, there’s something for the whole family to enjoy!

Ocean Lakes Family Campground – Myrtle Beach, SC

Best of all, it’s only a short hop to the Bavarian town of Helen, GA and close enough to Florida, Louisiana, Tennessee and the Carolinas for a quick day trip. Simply put, this park has it all!

Can’t leave this one off the list.
